Developers & Site Engineers
Developmental Project Programs
Planning a commercial or residential project with our service
area? Don’t start without us! We welcome the opportunity
to provide service to new developments. However, we do regulate
and monitor the installation of all new water and wastewater
lines within the First Utility District boundaries.
Developers should contact us for details and see our Development
Agreement. Certain charges will apply.
Service Line Inspection
Program
Are you thinking about connecting your house or business to
the District’s sanitary system?
Some prefer to contract this chore to others, while do-it-yourself
types may want to do their own work. Whether you DIY or hire
a contractor, all installations must meet certain minimum standards
as set forth in our “Rules and Regulations of Sewer Use”
and all installations must be inspected by First Utility District
personnel.
Contact us for details and applicable fees or go to the condensed
version of our Rules and Regulations.
Cross-Connection Prevention
Program
We work hard to insure that the water we bring to your home
is the safest, purest available. That is why we are constantly
on the alert for any situation that would degrade that purity.
Our cross-connection prevention program is on way that our staff
insures the water you and your family drink is always the best.
We believe, though, every water customer should know about cross
connections. Even your lawn sprinkler system can be a source
for contamination. Please contact us for additional information.
Tennessee One-Call Program
Call us before you dig! First Utility District is a member of
the Tennessee One-Call
line location system. If you need water or wastewater mains
located, please call 1-800-351-1111. Be prepared to provide
the address, grid and sub-grid, and nearest intersecting street
to the operator.
