Dear Customer,
FUD is nearing completion of the water main replacement project on George Williams Road between the Pellissippi underpass and Zola Lane, and road closures are intended to be complete by August 8th. The purpose of this notice is to advise of an upcoming detour change and scheduled water outage.
The George Williams closure limits will be shifted between Continental Drive and Zola Lane on Saturday, August 1. Detour signs and message boards will be updated to reflect closure limits and detour routing.
Secondly, a water outage will be scheduled on Tuesday, August 4, from 8:00AM – 5:00PM to complete a tie-in. This notice is being issued to a large number of customers in effort to provide conservative planning, and not all customers may be affected. A map of the largest anticipated area is available on FUD’s website under the Projects & Maintenance tab.
Following project completion, Knox County will be repaving George Williams Road in the affected work areas
