RE: Tan Rara Oeste Subdivision Water Main Replacement – Additional Work First Utility District of Knox County

Dear Resident,

In 2025, First Utility District of Knox County (FUD) completed approximately 8,000 feet of water line replacement in the Tan Rara Oeste subdivision. This project replaced a 50-year-old concrete water main to improve system reliability and ensure dependable service to neighborhood residents and customers on the eastern side of FUD’s service area.

During construction, two additional sections of aging concrete water line were identified between 10100–10112 Tan Rara Drive and 10000–10041 El Pinar Drive. FUD plans to self-perform the replacement of these water mains and associated service lines beginning in Spring 2026.

All work will take place within existing Knox County rights-of-way and established utility and drainage easements. Fire protection and water service will be maintained throughout construction and will be improved upon completion of the project.

We anticipate construction on Tan Rara Drive beginning in March 2026, with work on El Pinar Drive scheduled for early Summer 2026. Construction hours will be limited to Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We understand that construction activities may cause temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete these important infrastructure improvements. If you have questions or concerns, please contact FUD Customer Service at (865) 966-9741.

Respectfully,
First UD of Knox County
